Here is an email message from Jennifer Flory, she worked with us as a Lesson Study facilitator during year 1.

Hi Everyone,

So sorry it took this long to send this out!  Preston Davis Flory was born 12-27-2011 (right on his due date He was 9.1 lbs...big boy!!!  Attached are some pictures of him. He is super-cute and we are having a blast!!!  I have been singing him the quadratic formula song , the one that is to "pop goes the weasel."  He seems to enjoy it.  Also he has the Pythagorean theorem hanging in his bedroom (picture attached...my uncle made it for him).  He will either love or hate math.  I hope all is well. It sounds like you all are incredibly busy with some great projects.

Below are images from our second year summer workshop. Teachers were working on case studies, analyzing student work and student thinking about representational proofs and algebraic reasoning about operations. Project LEAD teachers, 3rd through Algebra 1, are working together to better understand how children learn and think about mathematics.
